I am in the process of rebuilding after throwing a rod bearing. I just got
into the oil pan and discovered the bearing debris.
The question concerns the oil circuit. Can the pump pick up this stuff and
push it past the filter to other places in the engine?
Do I need to replace/clean any of: oil pump, oil cooler, oil lines, turbo
bearings, engine block ?
Concerned.

And concerned you should be... The answer is yes to all your questions.
The best place to look for evidence of how far debris has traveled is in other
bearing journals. Remove all your rod and main bearing caps... if debris has
circulated, it will collect in the crank journals, both at the rod and main
bearings.
Good luck,
Dave
