[s-cars] UrS6 research still on-going...

OK, so I have rejected a couple of potential purchases due to various
things that would cost an outrageous sum to replace/repair, even
though they have nothing to do with the drivetrain.
I get from reading this list that the drivetrain iteself is as
bulletproof as it can get, but that the accessories can be a bit of a
hassle. This has been my Audi experience for the past 15 years, so
I'm not afraid (much - only a little at night.)
Now, since the UrS6 (or UrS4) is sort of a rare beast, I'm including
the whole country in my search. I am assuming that salted roads in
the winter don't have too much effect on the bodywork of these cars,
or that if I were to get a FL car, the salt air isn't too bad on them?
These things are of concern to me, but down on the list somewhat.
Normally, I'd take a used car to a mechanic such that they could do an
inspection before I lay down dough. But these cars are different,
because of their rarity. What are the special S-Car-specific items
I'd need to tell the mechanic to check? This assumes the mechanic is
familiar with this vintage of Audi in general. BTW, I'm leaning more
toward UrS6 - just due to generally lower mileage / better shape /
less wild mods.
Thanks for the collective wisdom, folks. It's been very illuminating.
BTW - whomever said "whatever happens to your Audis eventually
happens to mine", I find that true as well. In my 100S Avant, I had
to fix the phantom sunroof opening and fuel pump gradually dying.
Hell, I think I've replaced the fuel pump on every VW/Audi I've ever
owned. :)
Thanks again,
