Agreed.  That car would be a steal at twice that for 
the parts alone.  

The unfinished state is an issue.  Anyone who buys it 
must consider a worst case scenerio.  I would pay 
around $5k for something like that.  Perhaps that's 
on the light side, but for $6k I can have my pick of 
several S cars...fully assembled.

ummmm.... maybe you might try re-reading my original 
message ;-) The engine 
alone was $4k with harness and pooter, the custom 
intercooler $900, not to 
mention all the new RS2 parts. Parting it out would 
return a good deal of 
$$$, but being that all of it is largely installed it 
would be ashame to do 
so. Some time back there was a similar car sold for 
over $10k but granted it 
was 'done' and just needed to be driven. I'm not 
thinking that much, but $2k 
won't even buy the car as a roller at this point.
