Maybe I should call it a "non-ideal" ground connection. I would take a 
voltmeter, switch everything on you normally have running and measure the difference 
between the ground point of the TDS-1  and the ground point of your IAT. If 
it is more than 30 mV ... I would say you have a non-ideal ground connection to 
measure your IAT accurately you could take the data I sent you and add the 
correction to it. 

TDS-1 - IAT Ground = 10 mV = add 4.36C
TDS-1 - IAT Ground = 30 mV = add 13.10C

This assumes everything is running correctly on your car. Maybe your IAT 
sensor is on the way out.

Also the TDS-1 states "Unfortunately, due to the nature of positive 
temperature coefficient thermistors, the voltage changes a very small amount per degree 
of temperature difference. Because of this, the temperature measurement is 
not highly accurate. However, for the purposes of monitoring intercooler heat 
soak, and turbocharger efficiency, this accuracy is sufficient."
