[s-cars] coolant leak, help

Check under the black plenum below the windshield. There is a heater valve
under there with a vacuum line attached that was leaking on my car.
Since coolant can run down various components and deposit or show itself
much further away than where the leak originated, I would check the
following:
The small coolant line that runs under the intake manifold to the turbo.
This is a big known failure item.
Check the turbo afterrun pump. Run your hand underneath it and see if you
have coolant on your hand.
On the back of the head, passenger side, there is a plastic elbow with an O
ring that can leak and run down under the tranny and daylight near the CV
joints.
Check the coolant overflow reservoir. May look ok but with all the expanding
and contracting this reservoir goes through, it's amazing it lasts as long
as it does. Run your hand underneath this reservoir to see if there is fresh
coolant there. HTH,'
Chad
