Ummmmmmmmm.
I don't think they use brass for brake lines or fittings...
At least most all makes and models I have seen.
My 93 S4 (Can.) sure doesn't have any brass...

What's the deal with the brass brake lines and brass fittings at the
flex hose? I totally mangled the front left brake line on my S6. I guess
10 winters in Michigan will rust things pretty good, but this was
unexpected. A good flare wrench, oil, propane, cold chisel, and finally
vice grips did that little brass fitting in.
I'm borrowing a bubble flare kit and brake line tubing bender to run a
new line tonight. Luckily the front left is one of the shortest brake
lines on the car.
Are the brass brake lines on this car just because they are easy to bend
at the factory? Anybody care to speculate?
-Mike
