While I don't have an answer to your direct question, there is
a very good article in this months Sport Compact Car where
they test, using a lab, a few of these octane boosters as well
as "homebrew" = toluene. They came up just short of a perfect
test because they changed the testing method for some of the
"brews" at the end.

They also have a nice piece defining the basics of suspensiion
tuning.

All and all not a bad issue to pick up just for those 2 articles.
