All is apart now and I can see that the red wire is broken right at the edge
of the hall sender. I have found a similar part at Newark components that I
can swap with original for $18 plus shipping. A lot better that $414 for
whole unit from stealer, or even $190US (inc shipping) from other suppliers.

Here is a pic of a tool to hold the cam sprocket while loosening the
bolt;

Its called a pin wrench.

You will probably have to loosen the t-belt roller / tensioner to give
you enough slack to remove the sprocket. Once you have the belt off,
make sure you don't turn the sprocket, its probably a good idea to line
up the timing mark or mark it with chalk.
