wondering if theres any yays, nays, or done this befores for my endeavour.
im picking up a c4s4 from VA (hopefully before my surgery on the 28th) and
am at a crossroads. i can either somehow get my 4000 running in time or
bribe a friend to drive, while driving a big truck myself and flatbed
trailer,,since id rather nobody but me pump my s' clutch........OR... go by
myself with a... 2 wheel dolly& a rented/borrowed truck, *disconect the
driveshaft* and tow home accordingly.
the key to the big OR, is the driveshaft disconnect so i can tow with the
front wheel only dolly.
anybody done this before, have any good reason why i shouldnt, or
suggestions for what to bring with, besides my 2 jacks, jackstands and
standard tools?
the driveshaft isnt relied upon for rearend stability right? i plan on
saving the rear diff for 'just in case' and dont want to cause any harm to
any of what remains of the car.
as for some recent topics...
my best friend assures me that once an E4 or above(marines) and stationed
in a foregn country, and purchases a vehicle it can be brought back... wich
is why hes sending me pictures of a nice blue RHD rs2 and several other RHD
Vdubs he sees daily in NC.
for the man on the move...as much of I80 as possible, V1 is a life$$$saver
(but penn cops are sneaky), ohio&indiana dont have many hiding spots
(gogogo),,,& be patient with the people that dont know the left lane is for
passing, then cordially pass and... wave at 'em, ba-fangool style
when chris s. sent me a huco POS, i was a bit skeptical, it mounts a bit
defferently but just as good and cheaper by lots than bosch...so far.
good'day, -brian
