[s-cars] Coil Replacement Options?

The number one value of close up coils is reduced EMI. Multiple coils
of course eliminate the need for a mechanical distributor. Otherwise,
any decent capacitive discharge ignition system can easily blast through
n feet of ignition cable. With close up coils, Audi chose not to go the
CD route, as it was unnecessary at the pressures they intended the
engine to run. As far as I have observed on this list, persons running
over 2 bar gauge find the system adequate, so long as the parts still
function. :(
