[s-cars] Synthetic oil?

I have used synthetic for the last 20 years. In my last aspro motor,
nearly any synthetic seemed to be fine, even when competing with
a motor notorious for high oil temps (the VW HD 1.8 motor). With 
the turbo cars, I have found Castrol Syntec seems to suffer from 
at least a temporary loss of viscosity, at least in terms of telltale
lifter tap, when the oil temps get elevated by "spirited" driving. 
As usual, YMMV.
