I used the old tab and completely wrapped it in jb weld. Working
fantastically for 2 years. I have also done the aluminum trick.

Subject: [s-cars] Can Headlight Tab be Fixed?

I repaired one a few years ago and it's still solid. It was the top,
inner
tab. I used a piece of sheet aluminum an inch wide and about 3 inches
long,
bent as needed. I fastened it to the headlight assembly with 2 pop
rivets,
one into the stump of the old tab and the other farther forward, into
the
headlight housing, about 3/8 of an inch from the front end of the
plastic
housing. I added some adhesive between the new tab and the headlight
housing before attaching. Drill a hole on the other end for the screw
to go
through, pop on a speednut, and you're done.
