I too would think about a used-and I assume it would be well used-RS4 in
ten
years.... But just think of the value a used RS6 may bring in ten
years...

I think all us cheapwads here are sitting back, grinning, patiently
doing the same. Let some other sucker take that HUGE "Audiesque"
depreciation hit from hell and scoop us up a bargain once she's 7 years
old or so. Heck I'll be in the market about that time, awesome.
(Begin rant) HOWEVER... gotta state the painful truth hear. The
thought of having one of 'those' cars @ 7 years old frightens the
BEEJEEZUS out of me. All them systems, all that complication, all that
room for eventual guaranteed failure... all that room to never be able
to afford to be slave to maintaining one of those.
What is repairing the RS6s electromagneticnuclearific suspension gonna
run? That's just the first example of runforthehills that comes to
mind. Better have a damn good extended warranty, my guess.
This is a sadder fact when you couple AoA's recent disregard /
alienation of it's used car public. Turning one's backs on problems
doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy about owning one of those things in
their 'glory years' no.
Call me paranoid. Mefears my doomfilled prognastications will prove
destiny. Prove me wrong, Audi.
Orrrrrrrrrr just be like Pasqualoni and Noland and others here and just
go out and get yerself a new B6 //S4 heh heh. Not much yet been
discussed about those here... buncha miles in Jim's Sat. was a near
religious experience. That car is telepathically addictive, does
basically everything right. Nothing too right, but nothing wrong
either, verrrrrry easy to exploit. While my Mihnea'd UrS hits harder
and the punch is more satisfying, that frickin B6 //S Avant is a
verrrrrrrrrrrry enticing package. All the bases are covered, and
covered very, very, very frickin well (unlike B5). Kudos Audi, kudos
indeed.
Just make her hold up in 7-10 down the road 8-)...
(End rant)
