Yep, that door opener is the man, well kinda.
It is super quiet, completely wireless, fast, and packs the processing
power of today's most advanced toasters. The nicest thing about it is
that it mounts directly above the door through the torsion spring beam.
This way, the center on the garage ceiling is clutter-free.
For lights, may I recommend a t-8 ballast for super quick and quiet
operation in <40 degree temps. I like twin 8' if they'll fit. In my
dream garage, I'll have triple 8' twin bulb t-8's. Black light UV bulbs
will be in stand by mode for installation in the evening when I want to
dazzle my guests with my fuzzy Pink Floyd posters (see previous post for
relevance)

Looks like an interesting opener. I'm running a belt drive which is
*very*
quiet. Standard off the shelf item at Sears, ran about $150 or so.
Funny we're talking about garages...I had an electrician in yesterday to
scope out, among other things, sufficient light for the garage.
Mine's a two car attached and right now it has 1 decent sized
fluorescent
fixture. I'm replacing it with two 4' twin bulb fixtures near the front
of
the garage, another in the middle of the garage and 1 more toward the
back
over my workbench.
Might almost be enough light :)
