If anyone has any unrepairable ECU's I would love to buy them. I only want them for the connector so they can be unrepairable.
Thanks,
Christopher

A cat got trapped in my trunk (don't ask) and sprayed. Anyone got a
solution for getting that stank out?
Thanks in advance,
Kevin

I'd wash the area and use paper towels to absorb
most of the problem. Then a heavy, repeated dose
of Fabreze or other odor remover should do it.
If not, check with the pet store, vet, or animal
shelter; they deal with the problem a lot. They
make special animal odor sprays that should work
even better.

Drywall's the way to go, 5/8th's on the walls and 1/2" on the ceiling.
Easy to repair and keep a mental note of where the studs are so you
can mount your tools in the future.
Plenty of material there.

Works really well.

S-Gruppees: This is actually a repost (and update) from Oct. 27/04:
A local S6 owner phoned me in October to see if I could help him: something happened to his ECU and now his car "fails to function as required" (tm). I spoke with his mechanic (also my mechanic) and he said that the problem was caused by some injector ground wires shorting out and that the ECU was fixable (he has had others repaired before).
Well, its been four months and a bit and the car owner has just phoned me and told me that our mechanic has told him the ECU can NOT be fixed. I phoned the mechanic (who had farmed the "fix" (or non-fix in this case) out) and all he could tell me was the ECU is "kaput". When pressed as to what exactly was f'd, he only said something about "Bosch parts hard to find", "injectors (mumble, mumble)", etc. (I wasn't impressed).
SOOOO....back to square one: a) Does anyone think the ECU can be fixed? (I've cc'd Steve Eiche) and/or b) are there any spare ECU's for sale out there? (with Prices). Contact me directly. Thanks.

I actually had a problem with a broken injector ground wire. I ran a
new wire. Perhaps the ECU is not at fault, but the un-fixed wiring?

Folk's,
Since my gheezer sister cannot work on her car herself, she is contemplating
selling it very soon. I am trying to move her into a neuS4 6 spd
convertible, but I digress.
So, for some odd reason I think I should buy her old S and just keep it
available for corporate visitors that are in and out of town.
Question is what might be fair value of a 92 black n grey urS, 150,000
gheezer driven miles, new paint 18 mos ago. Basically stock, but may have a
mystery chip. Would need only a big brake upgrade and possibly the steering
wheel upgrade IME. (right) I've driven the car quite a bit and believe
that the 92's with stock boost gauge, stiffer seats, stiffer springs, sway
bar and funky interior wood color may have been the best ever made.
I am guessing somewhere between 5 and 10k dollars??
TIA
Bill M ~ possible S collector

I paid ~7k for mine with 250k highway miles on it. One owner before
who use to travel from vermont to boston regulary. In really good
shape and sounds a lot llike the one your 'gheezer' sister has. I
would think it would go for around 9-10k if its in good working order.
