[s-cars] Fuel Pump Out!!

When the fuel pump failed on my '92 100S, the OEM one I pulled was a Bosch
(German made). The replacement was also Bosch (Czech made), and was very
noisy from the minute it was installed. I returned it, and got a VDO
replacement (German made), and all has been well ever since. If your
replacement Bosch pump is German made, you're probably OK. If its Czech
made, you may have a problem.

Thanks Fred, Bob and Bob: Once I knew that there are two clips and that
the pump would come out, after a couple of blind tries (there's only
room for one arm (left) and no flashlight at the same time), I felt the
pump pop up (Yay!).

Pull it out and good news, it is a VDO. If it was a Bosch then I would
not necessarily be improving anything. I am hoping the new Bosch pump
will be stronger at higher boost pressures and my pinging (at WOT) will
go away. If not, there are other options (including new - but less
agressive - RS2 software).
