David persevered, sort of:

<<<With the wheels hanging, I couldn't thread the Fumoto in due to the
sway
bar. I tried loosening the nuts on the sway bar bushings, but after
breaking them loose, the bolts spun and I couldn't reach the heads. :^[
By
jacking one control arm up the sway bar rotated enough for me to get the
Fumoto valve started, and it's in place now. I also had to tighten it
more
than they recommend, since the lever interfered with the sway bar.

In addition to the installation difficulty, I also wouldn't recommend
the
Fumoto because, due to the horizontal orientation of the valve, it won't
drain as much oil as removing the drain plug. I hadn't had the belly
pan
off myself previously to check this out. I ended up using it anyway
since I
didn't want to re-use the damaged drain plug. I think it'll be OK, but
probably not ideal in this application.

Ah, now I see how the sway bar has interfered on 'some' cars and not on
others. Interesting, thanks.

Um, 'all' of my oil drains, as, in order to get my drop pan under my UrS
mit 29771 H&Rs I need to jack the right side up a bit anyway. Big f'n
deal, allows me some room to finagle the bellypan. I've gotten my oil
changes down to 15 minutes or less, and that's WITH taking out all the
tools, oil, filter, jugging up the waste oil and wiping the drop pan
clean, and putting tools away.

I know this b/c I can do it w/o the "Boss" even realizing I've left the
room (should realize by the lack of farts alone but hey apparently she's
not that smart yet).
