When this happened to me I took my car to a local windshield replacement
centre and they glued it back on for free. It's a service they offer to
get
you back when the windshield needs replacing. They have also fixed a
stone
chip for free. Also had two windshields replaced there on other cars.

Speaking of windshields... while I know I've seen these posts years back
someone please refresh me here.
I unwittingly did myself the HUGEST of favors and cracked my windshield
either by twanging the pass. wiper down too hard to remove ice or
pushing on the icepack down near the wiper arm to crack it loose.
SWEET! Saves me from ballpeaning the f'n thing come spring (whoops was
that out loud?) to file an insurance claim for new glass (no, I've never
done 'that' before, heck, I've never had a new windshield for that
matter).
Seeing out of my sandblasted 143k glass was starting to SUCK, esp. with
road haze getting ground into the divots, so I've been looking forward
to this day, and looky here it's come. Nice! For once!
Now question, I recall seeing mixed thoughts on PPG, Sigla, etc. What's
the consensus, gents? Anyone have experience with a shop in CT they'd
care to refer? I know Rossato had told me about someplace, forget (of
course). I've got Amica, they're historically pretty good, hoping
they'll cover any OE replacement, we'll see. Never filed a glass claim
before.
TIA.
