So... I removed my 5 speed on the weekend.

My clutch was original and still had about 50% left to it. I figure I
will replace it, especially since I already gave my clutch disc away. I
found an Exedy clutch kit for $140 (pilot bearing not included) which is
a crazy stupid price, and I'm just crazy enough to try it. I figure I
will stay with a stock clutch because I severely doubt I will ever RS2
the car. I know you can still spin the clutch with a stock car. I've
done it twice. The autopsy revealed no damage. I was tempted by a
Centerforce clutch though. I stopped by a local car parts store today
just to see what a stock clutch would run me with no discount ($700CDN).
They did to my surprise have a Centerforce clutch kit listed for my car
in the Centerforce catalogue. The price was around $580CDN, but I know
someone who works there (read discount). My question is, how much extra
force compared to stock is required for the Centerforce clutch. I get
annoyed very easily in heavy traffic and I don't want to lower my
boiling point by the added annoyance of an ultra-heavy clutch. My car
is no track queen. Thanks so much in advance for dealing with another
clutch question. I truly appreciate and value your comments. To
summarize, I am leaning towards a stock replacement clutch, but if the
Centerforce doesn't require too much more effort I am willing to try it.
