[s-cars] Wastegate to Frequency Valve hose

The vacuum hose between the wastegate and the frequency valve must be 
pretty special stuff.
I know it is a high heat hose, but the dealer list of $140 is still a 
bit lofty IMO. Part # 034 145 742E.
Does anyone have any specifications for this hose and  perhaps 
alternatives.  Although this hose
is formed to the routing it takes, I think a straight hose could 
perform as well.  I plan to check the
local hose supplier for a generic silicone hose.   The OEM hose 
exhibits evidence of a hungry
rodent since the hole is in a place not subject to rubbing against 
anything else, although there
is no forensic evidence available and no other damage.
