How about Spokane House of Hose? Recall they just rebuilt my high pressure
hose and I am but one of several very satisfied listers/customers. Ring 'em
up and talk to Jay. He is to whom I was directed but prolly everybody there
is equally as pleasant and responsive.

I looked onto this too as you are right, that's one expensive piece of
rubber. The hose is moulded and runs directly over the turbo takes a
bend then down to the WGFV. The last bend is almost 180 degrees and is a
tight radius. This is where you might run into trouble with a straight
hose and it may kink.
I suppose you could arrange a straight hose without such a tight bend
radius, but it would not follow the original path.
This silicone hose is rated up to 350F and is sold in 10 ft min length;

For $27, its worth a shot.
