They sell the pressure plate, clutch and aluminum flywheel all at the
same place. They are also one of the only places in the country that
has the proper equipment to resurface our dual mass flywheels. If you
want to support another audi nut, Javad is a dealer for them.

Bill,
Assuming the condition of the stock Dual mass FW is not too
worn/grooved or has not had to much charred clutch material transferred
to the FW surface it is possible to reuse. I sourced my FW from
Autosport Werks who I believe gets it from another vendor. I am sure
one of the listers can suggest a source that is available from the
Internet.

Hmmm...
I had my clutch replaced with an OEM a few years back. The mechanic
didn't mention the flywheel. Was it not resurfaced?

As for the LWFW, is there one that is recommended? I need to do the
clutch again and I'd like an upgrade.

thanks,
-Bill

Gabriel,
Typically when you replace a clutch on an older car you
resurface the flywheel. Since our cars have a Dual-Mass flywheel they
are not resurfaceable typically and thus need to be replaced w/ NEW OEM.
The cost difference from NEW OEM and a 12lb Alum FW is around 75 to 100
bucks.

Cheers

Cody

Does using the Centerforce dual friction clutch kit require you to get a
new flywheel, or can you use the stock dual mass unit?
