I used black electrical tape to cover the light in my
'94 100 S Avant.  The weather is improving, so I may be
able to work on it soon.  My understanding is that there
is a single sensor wire that goes from ? to each brake
pad to ? to complete the circuit and keep the light off.
A break anywhere opens the circuit and trips the light.
The break is usually the brake pad sensor being worn
through, but old wiring or corroded connectors can also
cause it. My plan is to send the left (port side) front
sensor wire to ground, which "should" bypass any break
or actual brake sesnor wear.

Has she lent it to a boy friend, who might drive it
like he stole it? Especially when it's such a puny
engine and not up to displaying his machismo? Just
guessing, as I believe those Toyota engines are near
bullet-proof.
