[s-cars] anyone running 18x8.5" wheels?

are there any fitment or rubbing issues, I'm looking at some RS4 reps in
18x8.5, if they are good to roll on what tire size is recommended?

I ran a set of Hamann HM-2's retrofitted for the Audi hub and bolt
circle. These were 18" X 8.5" wide, running Yoko ES100 rubber sized at
245-40 X18.

There were no fitment issues , rubbing etc and I even heard of other
people running 255-35 rubber as well.

However the ride quality sucked, was too stiff in my opinion. I felt
every expansion joint or bump in the road. Here in NH and MA, the roads
are not smooth.
Take that into consideration, if you're in Texas, sure they may suit you
fine.

Got to the point I needed a little more right comfort, sold that set and
bought Taka's Oettinger RE's 245-40 ZR17 Sumitomo HTRZII. 
Obviously hoping for an improvement.
