V8 manuals...was Re: [s-cars] S4 Replacement

The 91 V8 w/manual would be nice to get a hold of. I did a quick search
and didn't find any.

I suppose what I'd really like is an A6 sized Quattro with a V8 and a manual
transmission. The 95 S6+ had a V8 right? Or is that called the S6+ 4.2?
And was it only in available Europe?

What about a 2001 A6 4.2 with a manual? Does that car exist anywhere?

Yes, they made it in but if I am remembering correctly it is either 50, or
150, units. The '91 V8 5 speeds are probably one of the rarest Audis to
make it to the states.

Some '91 V8s made it to the states with a 5-speed
manual. They're hard to find, but they are available.

And AudiConnection in VA will swap a 5-speed into an
older V8.

Maybe they'd be up for an S6/V8 conversion. Make mine
an Avant.
