Well, Bob, you get to spend some quality time with your favourite VOM.

I don't know much about Blau's harness - I always build my own harness and
relay setups. I'd start by checking the fuses and then pulling the relays
and checking them and their connectors. Then check the ground points and
harness connectors. If they all check out OK, trace the power circuits with
your trusty VOM to see where the current is going astray.

If Blau only uses one relay to power two bulbs ( not the way to go IMHO) it
may be as simple as a bad relay. If each bulb has it's own relay, it will
likely be a wiring or grounding issue.

The complicating factor here is that the unwholesomely clever engineers at
Audi use the ground wiring for more than just a ground. This can really foul
things up if the harness is improperly connected ( not likely in your case
since it had been working OK) or if grounds or connectors go bad.

I can't really offer much more unless you have a schematic of Blau's
harness. I did resolve another listers weird HID lighting and radio problems
with a purchased harness after he sent me the schematics - the bright light
who designed it had the ground in the wrong position. Can't remember whose
harness it was now.

HTH

Fred

  Yup, using Blau's (in)famous wiring harness. :-(

    Hiya Bob;

    This all sounds vaguely familiar.

Are you using Blau's patented harness and relay system to power those
Euros?
If so I suspect grounding or relay issues with their harness. If not, it
    gets much more interesting....

Today was AARP day at the WV legislature. I got to shake our governor's
    hand. Whoopee.

Climbed in the car at about 7 AM, fired up the engine, and turned on the
headlights. Came up with high beams on. Flipped the dimmer switch and
the
lights went out. Flipped back to high beams. Lights stayed out.
Turned
off lights completely and then turned them back on. High beams came on
and
we repeat the process. No low beams at all and high beams only after a
fresh start. The lights worked just fine last night.

    Hence the subject line. :-(

Oh - Euros from Blaufergnugen. '95 urS6 with a list of goodies.
