[s-cars] HELP!!!! boost problem still

gentleman,

I am frustrated because I can't track down a boost problem.

Patient is a 93 S4, with RS2 FI, RS2 em, RS2 maf, innovative turbo "RS2
turbo", Vmap, and Uncle bob's RS2 software.

Car runs fine but turbo doesn't start pulling until past 4k rpm.

I have checked the water trap, line to water trap, all boost hoses, MAF
to Turbo inlet hose. I can't find a problem anywhere. I pressure tested
and didn't find any leaks. Caveat on the pressure test, the custom
turbo has a larger inlet than the stock so it's hard to get rid of a
leak there.

For some reason the Maf to turbo hose has an oily film inside it.
Boost side "turbine" spins fine, nothing found in the motor oil.


I am at a loss and could really use some advice on what else to check.
I don't have a boost gauge, but am seriously considering getting one to
help proceed with diagnosis.
