center resonator -- Re: [s-cars] Stromung questions, specifically cats vs straight pipe

Thanks for the offer, but I have another S-Owner sending me his OEM exhaust.
And looking forward to ending this madness. ;-)

Somehow even the cost of rebuilding the factory cats cost me 600.00 each.
I think I got ripped off. ;-( Either way, I think exhaust is exhaust.
Seems to me that bending the pipes one way to fit the floor of an S-car
shouldn't cost any more than bending them a different way to fit a Camry.
But they do ;-|

Anyway.... I just thought I'd open up the question in case someone has an
answer. That way...maybe I'll have a better response for the next time
when one of my friends asks, "Dude what's the deal with your car? Can't
you get it fixed?"

if that's what the cats are selling for, then frankly that's insane. The
rest of the components are made from recycled East German tanks, so I can
understand their higher costs (and weights) :)

I'm happy with the Stromung now, though. If you want my old exhaust you can
have it. Had to cut the downpipe to get it out (it wasn't in the best shape
anyways), and you may need to do a little work decking the flanges where I
nicked them cutting the bolts with a cutting wheel. Might cost you a few
bucks to get it shipped to San Fran, but hey it is what it is. Free stuff.
