[s-cars] Fuel Pressure

Mark,

There was no mention of fuel smell, all fuel is assumed contained in the
system.

The fuel pressure regulator is intended to be a controlled leak to keep the
pressure from going too high.  Since the engine seems to run O.K. I would think
it is O.K.

I would suspect the check valve that is screwed into the end of the fuel pump.

The symptoms would be slow to start -- not enough fuel pressure to squirt any
until the pump builds up the pressure.
