Igor:

Then is this rod a "preventative mainenance" item that should be replaced at leisure on a Sunday afternoon with a beer in hand? Or is this something that may or may not break on the cruise up to 200K miles? If a preventative maintenance item and since it has not broken would I get a new rod from the dealer or Rod at IPC. Can it buy it chromed like Hap would?

Thanks,

Mark near Chicago

It is always the master. The rod snaps due to the metal fatigue.
