Thanks!
I think I've got all info I need about pump brands and other.

Now Tom brought his opinion on Belt tension related problems.
I don't have new box with tools :-) But they are in decent shape. So far I
have 3 Honda timing belts under belt.

One was good for 50k miles (and I sold car). Another good for 25k so far and
keep going. I did not tension them for purpose.
Just kind of let it tension itself by spring. I would call it on a loose
side.

Should I look for 90 degree turn on installed belt? How do you tension them?

Sorry for bringing Honda - but I was replacing camshaft seal as well because
they were about to go as well. (Actually I did it on last 2 cars only)
First car it was leaking just a little and I didn't have replacement.

I noticed Fred mentioned this seal as well. I think I will do it too (for
121k mileage car)

Now I just need to find where to rent tools :)

Thanks,
Ivan

Ivan,

Adirondack shows a german make on their web site
<www.germanautoparts.com>
They generally have good stuff and decent prices. Change the
thermostat and o-
ring as well as the timing belt. I suppose that is what is causing
all this, since the
water pump doesn't ever fail. ( unless you don't change it on a belt
change--then
it fails in the next 1K miles.) :-)

Oh, your question- I have no opinion. I have a Graf pump. Noisy ?
First I have
heard of that, but I'd be the last to know.
I suspect most problem installs come from guys with a new box of
tools thinking
anybody can replace and tension a timing belt.
