I remember it from ca. 1991. IPC sent me their catalogue which utterly
confused me: the p/nos seemed to be totally out of order, just a random
collection of parts. I called IPC and got to talk with Rod. He actually
explained to me for the fist time the Audi numbering system, where parts
were ordered by the middle group of numbers. After that it began to make
sence.

Microfiches came into my life a bit later along with the optical fiche
reader. Sometimes I wonder how the hell did we manage to keep our
constantly breaking type 44 on the road? Before the Internet, Quattro
List, ETKA etc.?
