[s-cars] TIRES!

Paul: Falken GRB FK-451's here, brand new set about a month ago.
http://www.vulcantire.com had the best prices I could find, and
delivered them to NH *instantly*. Beat their quoted shipping time
significantly, and I paid for ground shipping (cheap).

Now, about the tires. I run them in 245/45/16 on the original '93
Fuchs wheels. Along with the new camber plates, this setup has
transformed the car. Before this I was running the V rated Michelin
XGV all seasons in 225/50. My suspension is new - Eibach
Sports/Bilstein Sports. These Falkens are Y rated, hard as stones.
But so far seem *reasonably* quiet, excellent performing tires.
Balanced perfectly, crisp response and now has the car handling almost
as good as my old Taurus SHO. Doh. But it's nothing another $600 for
a Hap bar can't improve :(

If I had been more committed to the rims at the time of the necessary
tire purchase, I would have probably bought Toyo T1R, BFG KDW,
Goodyear F1 GS-D3 or Michelin Pilot Sports. They are probably all
better tires, but I think these are pretty darn good, and might be the
best deal out there for the price
