Paul:
You can get the EM and turbo coated, but it will be pretty much
cosmetic. Having said that, I had my EM coated for $125 CAD, I chose a
low gloss silver finish and its still holding up strong after a year
with a little discolouration.
I didn't do the turbo, but I did spray it with some POR-20, a high heat
silver paint and it is also holding up well, infact it has not
discoloured at all and shows not signs of peeling.
As they say, painting is 90% preparation and I prepped the surface well
before painting. I left the inside on both bare.
I did it mainly to prevent the inevitable rust from developing on the
bare cast iron surface.
