Michael,
Spend some time on audiworld.com forums. The 2.7t is a nice car, but it can
be expensive to maintain and this one is out of warranty and not a candidate
for a reasonably priced extended warranty.
It can be hotrodded - chips, bigger turbos, etc, but will cost you a fair
amount to maintain. The 4.2 is a more reliable, less expensive car, but
can't be modded nearly as easily. If you're looking for a C5, drive a 4.2 to
compare.
Also the narrow body C5 was changed some in 2002, some nice upgrades.
Quieter, different front bumper (2001 and older are susceptible to being
pulled off by curbs), some other changes.
Do your research before you jump.
