Mike,
I just drove a 2000 2.7T 6spd last week. The car was stock except for new
tires and had 67k. The car was a sport model and compared to my wife's A6
2.7T Auto, it is a lot better in the handling and drivability that the auto
version.
They are asking $18.6 and I think its worth around $15.6 to me.
The thought of no warrantee on these cars kind of scares me though. Thus
far we have an oil leak and have had the 50k service done on the Audi
Assured A6 auto.
The 50k service was worth about $250 (incl a brake fluid flush) and the oil
leak is being repaired next week. That is worth at least another $200. so
far the warrantee work is free and a loaner to boot!
I would not want to be paying these kind of bills on a 50k mile car.
Does anyone know what is involved in getting an extended warrantee on these
cars?
Jack

Just got to take a test ride in the subject car. My local indy Audi wrench
has this one for sale. Some nice features; 5 years newer; not the same feel
as the S6, but I'm considering it. It has 68,000 miles. He is asking $16.9
for it. Any thoughts???
Of course I would have to move my S6 to go for this. Any interest in either
car on the list?? Both cars are located about 40 miles north of NY City.
