I agree that Sean has his C4's and 5's mixed up, but
he is correct about recoding the display when the
cluster is replaced (to cure the fading problem which
Audi is "monitoring"). The cluster must be coded to
the correct mileage after install. Just removing and
reinstalling the same cluster requires no VAG.

neither time did I have to recode the cluster
afterwards.
