I have fixed a similar problem on a Viper by taking the pipe off the car
and flat filing the stainless flange to better match the angle of the
other flange. Keep filing and trying the fit until the two surfaces are
mating. Go to NAPA and choose a graphite and steel gasket (not
composite). Then use Permatex Copper Ultraseal (red) on one side of the
gasket, as they recommend. This fixed my leak and it has not
reoccurred, even with track conditions. This assumes that you have
enough thickness in the Stromung flange to file or machine the new
angle. I tried several composite gaskets, which kept burning out. If
you get the two surfaces very flat you could also probably use a solid
copper gasket, but you will need to have a very good fit for the two
flanges.
