Folks,
I must be missing something but just when you think you've seen it all, my
very nice iforged 17" wheels (http://www.iforged.com/mainl.html see the
Seneka) came today after 6 week wait.
But that's okay because they are beautiful. Very nice. I'm all set to
rearrange things tomorrow to finally get the F1's mounted and I'm looking at
them, looking at them.. where's the hole for the valve stem? huh? No hole?
Wait, oh yes there is, but uhmm they drilled it right in the wheels' center
line angled outward 45 degrees or so, yes behind the spokes where perhaps
only ET's fingers may be able to reach in? I'm not even sure they will clear
the big brakes:/
WTheck, I mean WTF?
I must be missing something. This must be the really cool way ultra uber
fast racers mount their valve stems as a pit stop handicap.
These are et 30 but I could have gone to et 25 maybe to get this mounted
where I have a chance to put air in the tire on occasion.
Okay so if they do clear the brakes and you could take the wheel off and put
air in there, or maybe some sort of valve stem extender may work, but this
is idiocy (which I generally create well enough on my own.)
So AM I missing something? This is really where those in the know put the
valve stems right?
Bill ~ wondering how they come up with ideas like this ~ M
