[s-cars] Don't laugh ...but when it rains it pours!!!

Shawn;

I replaced my leaking fuel lines with bulk galvanized steel tubing (I think
it was 3/8") - cost about $25 for the tubing. I used compression fittings to
connect to the Audi tubing stubs at the front - if you have an ISO flaring
tool you can reuse the Audi nuts and flare the bulk tubing to fit the front
connectors. If one line is leaking under a hanger, you can bet there are
others not far behind, so patching in rubber hoses can become a full time
job :)

You can bypass the aux coolant pump with a 3/4" copper elbow until you get a
new pump. I got my replacement pump from the dealer - I think there are also
some on-line aftermarket sources.

Gents
So just hours after discovering the fuel leak I'm driving to my office to
drop some stuff off and the temp gauge goes up, up and up...I figure Austin
is
hot (90's today) no big deal
 :-( right...NOT..

NOW IT IS THE DAMN AUX. COOLANT FAN THAT HAS IMPLODED...#$%^& so where do I
get one of those???

I should say that this loyal avant has just made a trouble free high speed
run from Detroit to Austin 1430 miles average speed of 74 mph so I am
feeling
quite lucky that these issues didn't pop up on the trip.

Sweating in Austin,
