"Do not underestimate the power of the Dark Side!"
 :)
Actually, the car has lots of "go" right now. I like the fact that the
boost comes on later - I can drive around town, or drive easy on the
throttle, and get decent (if not stellar) mileage. I like the idea of a big,
high-pressure turbo that gives lots of boost higher in the RPM range - I
know how to shift down, after all! ;)
I indeed have arbitrarily decided that 300 or so is enough for *me* and
*this car*. While I understand completely that folks might not agree (you
crazies out there with 450-500WHP, LOL), I want to keep the car within
shouting distance of stock, just because.
Sub-six-second 0-60 works for me, without having to go wild on stuff like
manifold-back exhaust, where the EM itself is $900. $1000+ for the turbo,
that much again for Stromung 3" south of that, $1000 for the chip/software
to make it all run, $1300 for the FMIC, plus injectors, plus MAF...
Boys and girls (are there any girls here?), that's a lot of dough. For a
daily driver/family interstate hauler, that's hard to justify. Well, if I
weren't married, and had no kids, and had all the time in the world to play
around with the set-up, I would find myself saying, "slippery slope? Where?
I've got my tobaggan right here!" But sadly, I have to keep the upgrades
down to a dull roar. That is not to say I do not enjoy hearing about the
wild tales of automotive derring-do right on this-here list! :)
 Thanks again,
 Eric
