At S-fest '04 it would not play well with VAG-COM.

Sometimes just VAGing in and clearing the codes (even if there aren't
any) will cure this delay.  Worked on the 200 20v.

Mine has done that for a few years.
Oddly it was after a dealer rebuild of the dash, they claimed software
update..
Yeah, I should have bitched about it, but they had the car for 3 months. I
wanted it back...

If you ever find out what is up with your air bag light, let me know what U
found.
