S-Hedz,

Today, while running errands, I pulled out of a parking lot only to
experience what I believe to be a miss in the old AAN. There was no wild
driving involved. Simply moving along with a light foot, park, turn off,
go
in, come out, start up, rough running. I limped home on four cylinders
and
about three miles from the garage, it went away. Damn. I hate it when it
does that.

Later, I ran my daughter to some event and the car seemed fine - with
one
exception. While sitting at a light, the miss came back for about two or
three seconds. It smoothed out again before the light changed.

So, is it a coil? POS? Something else? Hard to diagnose when it's not
there.
Any suggestions? Damn, I hate it when it does that. Need to get to the
bottom of this before the Thanksgiving road trip. All thoughts
appreciated.
Damn.

Doug-

Oh, I thought you were going to write about the dreaded MissES (Mrs.)
8-).

That is exactly how my POS reared it's eventual failure. Come and go
constant miss, not load related. Evolved to constant miss within a day.
If you're lucky it'll be on the POS with the spare channel, the swap is
free and reaaalllly easy. If not, POS swap is easy, but $$$.

I'd venture to say that's your case. Coil / plug / boot issues are more
load related, and not constant like that.

Good luck, HTH.

-Paul with nothing particularly funny nor exciting nor stupid to report
today K.
