[s-cars] Diverter valve question

I bought a Baileys Diverter Valve (blow-off valve, whatever ;-)  from AWE 
last year at this time. I installed it in my 94 URs4. It worked well and had 
a nice mild 'whistle' when it activated between shifts. After about 5k 
miles, the whistle went away even though it still works well. I now have a 
customer with a 2.7t that wants the original valves replaced with ones that 
whistle. Does anyone have the baileys valves and did this happen to you? Are 
there any other suggestions for good valves that are out there? Thanks for 
your advice!
