[s-cars] Diverter valve question

Rolf,
There is a huge difference between a diverter valve and a blow off
valve. A blow off will vent to the atmosphere (bad for cars that meter
air intake with a MAF before the turbo) and a diverter gives the
incoming air a path, bypassing the turbo (as to not cause it to slow
down) hence why it is also called a bypass valve.
I have had a stock unit, Bailey Motorosports DV70 and a
Stratomoshphere Hyperboost. Out of them all, the Hyperboost has seemed
to be the quickest reacting, and still gives off a cool sound. I've
heard some bad things about pressure loss on the Bailey units, but
many still use them. I've also heard good things about 710N stock TT
225 valves from the B5 S4 guys, but on high boost C4 S4/6's they seem
to have a higher than normal failure rate.
Tell your customer he's better off spending $380 ($160x2) elsewhere
