[s-cars] Brake upgrade - 15" Speedline wheels

I don't think most people will pursue this avenue, but you can install the
strut assemblies, hubs and all brake hardware from an early euro-spec
UrS that has the internal caliper "UFO" brakes.

That will yield a 310x30 or so rotor, IIRC. Don't quote me on the rotor
dimensions.

This was Audi's solution to putting larger brakes behind 15" wheels in the
late
'80s when larger than 15" wheels were pretty uncommon except on high-end
sports cars.

There are 16" wheels that will fit the 322x32 Porsche 993tt rotors and
calipers
that are mentioned by Richard- the OEM Avus wheels as well as several
others-
you will have to be very careful on fitment if you decide to go this route.

Those 930 calipers that Richard mentions are actually 917 calipers and are
not
IMHO, the best solution.

So the short answer to your question is yes. However, the question you
really need
to answer is how much it is worth to you to continue running 15" winter
wheels. If you
want to spend thousands, it can be done.

The much cheaper solution, IMHO, is to do the RS2 caliper bracket, D2 A8L
rotors,
993tt/928GTS calipers and new brake lines. This will fit under 16s, just get
some
narrow 16s for winter use (I'm pretty sure A6 2.7T wheels will clear) and
you're set.
