have you tried starting it with a shot of ether up the intake horn?
give it a liberal dose and crank like hell. if it starts, that quickly
eliminates fuel or spark and is most likely one of the sensors on the
flywheel. (that's what happened to me)

mine did that recently also. never did track it down.
