Thks Bill,

Another lister suggested the same culprit .... appreciate the reply. Given my "least work" maintenance program, I will pursue this option first.

take care,

The chirping sound may not be due to a bad blower motor. The UrS cars have a
very small fan that draws in air from the cabin for climate control
temperature regulation. It lives below the tiny vent in the middle of the
top of the dashboard. Next time the squealing starts, try placing your
thumb, or any available digit, over the mini-vent and see if the squealing
  quiets down.

If the small climate control fan is the culprit, you can dig into the dash
and replace it, or try waiting it out. Squealing was intermittent on my UrS4
for a few weeks, then stopped on its own (that was 3-4 years ago and has
been quiet since). My guess is, that little bits of dirt/dust/assorted crap
fall down the vent and set off the squeal. Said dirt/dust/assorted crap
eventually work their way out and squealing stops. Might try blowing some
  compressed air down the vent.
