Tony has some new software that he will be telling us about at some
point. In the meantime, he asked me for some old performance data from
my "library". I sent it to him on Saturday but he never got it. Must
be a date line thing or it arrives upside down in Oz.
Anyway, here is the data I sent him:
>From The Dec. 92 issue of Volkswagon Audi car:
30 to 50 mph (3rd gear) sec = 3.1 sec Estate, 4.2 Saloon (something is
whacked
there)
30 to 50 mph (fourth gear) sec = 4.4 sec Estate, 5.7 Saloon (ditto)
50 to 70 mph (fourth gear) sec = 5.2 Estate, 5.3 Saloon (okay, that's
closer)
50 to 70 mph (fifth gear) sec = 6.2 Estate, 7.2 Saloon (either the
Estate was a
"ringer" or the Saloon was a bit of a dog (?)) Both cars were 6 speeds.
0 to 60 mph was Estate = 7.0 sec, Saloon = 6.7 sec. (That makes sense)
>From the June 1999 issue of 911 & Porsche World
RS2 with a full tank, driver but no passenger:
0 to 60 mph 4.85 sec.
Acceleration in gears:
........................ 4th ......5th......6th
40 to 60 mph 3.91 5.91 8.94 sec
60 to 80 mph 3.73 4.45 5.73 sec
80 to 100 mph 4.30 4.89 6.42 sec
Top speed 160.43 mph (half tank, driver and one passenger (who was
yelling, OMG, OMG, OMG...)
