[s-cars] RE: 255/40 17 Snow Tires

Has anyone ever tried a set of 255's in the snow and found that they got
stuck or that it was just horrible to drive? A lot of SUVs come stock with
255's and larger. Ever see what comes stock on the back of an X5? 285
35/19. A 255 is not crazy wide. We're only talking 10% wider than
stock. BFD.

YMMV ofcourse

Hey I resemble that remark! 8-) Good for you Mark, sounds ohso
familiar. 'Tis why Ms. 4000lb Piggie wears H's and no skinnier than
225.

And you forgot: "and a lot of wheelspin", heh heh. My front lifts so
much on launch I bake my 225/50/16 Pirelli Snowsports to the point of
not much center tread left. D'oh. Left wundrin if they're better left
up front or rotated to the rear?

And, Bwhahahahaha to 255/17 snows. BwHA! Now there is a Bill Clancy
post... haven't seen a doozie like that in a while. Like a Bizarro
post or something. Maybe you can run some spinner 20's with 335's or
something wider / larger???

further / continued sadistic abuse
